Step into the City of Wonder, an interactive workshop designed for families and children aged 4 and above. This engaging experience invites young minds to explore sustainability, architecture, and play through hands-on activities that encourage creativity and teamwork.

What to Expect

In this immersive workshop, children and their families will build a miniature urban landscape using small planks made from 100% recycled plastic waste. Led by international artist Raffaele Salvoldi and Kidwonder, participants will enjoy a playful environment that sparks imagination and problem-solving skills. Sessions are available for families with children aged 4+ and drop-off sessions for kids aged 10 to 14.

Activity Details

Each session runs for 60 minutes and offers a unique opportunity to collaborate and create. Family sessions require one adult ticket per up to three children, ensuring a supportive environment. Drop-off sessions for older children include supervision consent and require parents to drop off and pick up their kids at the Centre for Creativity. The workshop emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and sustainability in a fun, educational setting.

Location and Access

The workshop takes place at the Centre for Creativity within the iconic Sydney Opera House, located at Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000. The venue is wheelchair accessible with lifts and pram parking available. Public transport options include bus, train, and ferry to Circular Quay, followed by a short walk. Parking is available through Wilson Parking with discounts for advance bookings.

Important Information

Children must be accompanied by a paying adult for family sessions, with one adult allowed to accompany up to three children. Drop-off sessions require completed supervision consent forms. The Opera House prioritizes child safety and wellbeing, adhering to strict policies and codes of conduct. Tickets must be purchased through the official Sydney Opera House agency to avoid counterfeit risks.

Booking and Prices

Tickets are priced at $10 per person. The event runs from 10 July to 18 July 2025 with multiple sessions daily. Sydney Opera House Insiders have pre-sale access starting 29 April 2025, with general public sales from 30 April 2025. Early booking is recommended due to limited availability and popularity of the workshop.
