Unleash your inner comedian in this lively workshop designed especially for young teens. You'll start with a blank page and work your way to a finished comedy sketch, building unique characters and learning the secrets behind what makes a sketch truly funny. Improv exercises will help you find natural and hilarious dialogue.
This is a supportive, no-pressure environment where no prior experience is required. Just bring your enthusiasm and readiness to have fun!
The workshop runs for two hours, providing plenty of time to explore sketch writing and improvisation techniques. It is part of the library’s annual Youth Takeover program, where young people play a key role in designing and running activities.
Ages 12 to 15 are welcome to participate, making it a perfect creative outlet during school holidays or weekends.
