What to Expect
Get ready for a creative and inspiring morning at Wollongong Art Gallery where you and your children can design and create your own hero doll. This workshop is inspired by the exhibition "Once Upon a Doll" by Raquel Caballero and encourages imagination and sustainability by using recycled and everyday materials.
Participants will use items like toilet rolls as the base and decorate their dolls with fabric, paper, and other found objects. You are also welcome to bring your own materials to personalize your creation.
Best of all, your finished hero doll could be displayed as part of the Once Upon a Doll exhibition, giving your child a chance to see their artwork showcased publicly.
