What to Expect
This engaging four-week Falls Prevention Program is designed specifically for seniors to help strengthen muscles and improve balance. Led by a qualified physiotherapist, participants will learn valuable exercises and strategies to reduce the risk of falls.
You will gain practical knowledge on how exercise benefits aging bodies, ways to prevent falls, and simple exercises to do at home. The program also covers how to safely get up from the floor if a fall occurs.
This is a supportive and interactive environment ideal for seniors wanting to stay active and confident in their mobility.
Activity Details
The program runs on Mondays over four weeks: 20 and 27 April, and 4 and 11 May 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Each session costs $15.20, and limited places are available, so early booking is essential.
Participants must be residents of the City of Greater Dandenong. Door-to-door transport is offered at an additional cost of $5.60, with limited seats.
Bookings open at 9 am on Tuesday 17 March and are accepted by phone only through the Positive Ageing Team.

Sessions take place at the Cooinda Centre, located at 587 Springvale Road, Springvale South. The venue is accessible and welcoming for seniors.
Transportation options include door-to-door service, making it easier for participants with mobility challenges to attend.
