What to Expect

Activity Details
The workshops run from Monday 1 June 2026 to Monday 15 June 2026. The first session on 1 June is scheduled from 18:00 to 20:30, while the final session on 15 June (women's only) takes place from 16:30 to 18:30. These carefully timed sessions fit well into busy schedules, making it easier for parents to attend after work or school drop-offs.
Each session includes interactive discussions, speaker presentations, and opportunities to ask questions. The women's only session provides a supportive space for women to share their perspectives and experiences.
Location and Access
The workshops are held at Major Road Community Hall, located at 95 Major Road, Fawkner, VIC 3058. This venue is family-friendly and easily accessible by public transport.
You can catch the 531 Bus, which stops right outside the venue at Major Road and Bonwick Street. Alternatively, it's a 15-minute walk from Gowrie Station or an 18-minute walk from Fawkner Station, making it convenient for those using trains.
Important Information
Please note the different timings for the first and last sessions, and that the session on 15 June is exclusively for women. This ensures a comfortable environment for all participants.
The workshops are free to attend, but registration is recommended to secure your spot. It's a great chance to connect with your community and learn how to influence local decisions.
Children are welcome, but consider the timing and content of the sessions to ensure they are appropriate for your family.
