Activity Details
There are two guided walk sessions on the day: 10:30 to 11:30 am and 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Each walk lasts approximately one hour, providing a relaxed pace to explore the gardens.
Please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes suitable for walking outdoors. It’s recommended to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and be prepared for the weather conditions on the day.
Children are welcome but must be under the supervision of an adult guardian at all times for safety and enjoyment.
Location and Access
The meeting point is the Parring Road entry gate of Maranoa Botanic Gardens, located off Whitehorse Road in Balwyn, VIC 3103. This is also the main carpark for the gardens.
Please note there are multiple entry gates, so ensure you enter via the Parring Road gate where a staff member will greet you. The gardens are easily accessible by car and public transport options are available nearby.
Important Information
This event is free to attend but requires registration to secure your spot on one of the two walks. The gardens are outdoor spaces, so please dress appropriately and stay on designated footpaths to protect the environment.
If you wish to purchase a hot drink from the pop-up coffee cart, bring a reusable cup to receive a 50 cent discount. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult guardian who will supervise them throughout the walk.
