Dive into a creative and historical adventure at Taylor Square where you will craft your own site-specific artist book using texture relief prints. This unique workshop blends art and heritage, allowing you to capture the textures and stories of this vibrant Sydney precinct.
A City of Sydney historian will accompany the walk, sharing fascinating insights into how Taylor Square has transformed over time, enriching your experience with local history.
Artists from Pine Street Creative Arts Centre will guide you through making a mini relief print book using kneadable putty to take texture impressions directly from the environment, making it a hands-on and memorable activity.
This event runs on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, from 13:30 to 15:00. It is suitable for all ages and features minimal walking on even surfaces, ensuring accessibility.
All materials needed for the printmaking workshop are provided, so just bring your creativity and enthusiasm. The event is weather dependent, so be prepared for outdoor conditions.
