Little Art Makers is a playful and educational weekly workshop designed specifically for young children aged 3 to 5. Each session sparks creativity through storytime, art appreciation, and hands-on activities that invite little ones to explore their artistic talents.
Children will enjoy an immersive experience that combines imagination and creativity, making art accessible and fun. The workshops encourage sensory exploration and social interaction in a supportive environment.
Parents can expect their children to develop fine motor skills, confidence, and a love for creative expression through engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Each workshop begins with an engaging storytime session that sets the tone for creative thinking. Following this, children are introduced to various artworks to help them appreciate art in a fun and interactive way.
The highlight is the hands-on art making, where kids get to use a variety of materials under expert guidance to create their own masterpieces. These sessions are designed to be messy, fun, and educational.
The program runs every Wednesday during school terms with two available time slots: 9:30am to 10:30am and 11:00am to 12:00pm. The cost is $10 per child per session.
The workshops take place at Hazelhurst Arts Centre, located at 782 Kingsway, Gymea NSW, Australia. The centre is easily accessible and offers a welcoming environment for families.
Hazelhurst Arts Centre is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 9:30pm and Friday to Sunday from 9:00am to 4:30pm, with school holiday hours from 9:00am to 4:30pm.
Parking and public transport options are available nearby, making it convenient for parents to drop off and pick up their children.
Hazelhurst will be closed for the Easter holiday period from Friday 3 April to Monday 6 April 2026, with regular hours resuming Tuesday 7 April.
Spaces in the Little Art Makers workshops are limited, so early booking is recommended to secure a spot for your child.
The sessions are designed for children aged 3 to 5 years and focus on creative learning through art and storytime.
Parents should prepare for a fun, potentially messy experience and dress children accordingly.
Bookings can be made online or by contacting Hazelhurst Arts Centre directly. Each session costs $10 per child.
Payment is required to confirm the booking, and sessions run weekly on Wednesdays during school terms.
For more information or to reserve a place, parents can contact Hazelhurst via email or phone.
