Dive into the exciting world of 3D printing with this engaging Makerspace program designed especially for teens. Youth aged 12 to 17 will explore the basics of CAD design using Tinkercad, creating personalized magnets that showcase their unique interests, from animals and art to sports and gaming.
This hands-on workshop encourages creativity and technical skills, perfect for young minds eager to bring their ideas to life. Basic computing skills, including mouse usage, are required to fully enjoy the experience.
Your custom design will be 3D printed and ready for collection a few business days after the event, giving participants a tangible keepsake of their creativity.
The program runs on two separate dates, each session lasting 1.5 hours in the afternoon. Participants will learn step-by-step how to use Tinkercad to design a magnet that reflects their style and interests.
This is an ideal activity for teens looking to develop new skills in digital design and 3D printing technology in a supportive and fun environment.
Bookings are essential and open from Monday 22 June at 8am. The cost is $18 per youth ticket.
