Activity Details
The day features a schedule packed with diverse activities:
- 9:00-10:00 am: Guided walk to Eco Park with HLRA Turtle Trackers, perfect for all ages to learn about local turtles.
- 9:00-10:00 am: Nature Storytime Trek One for children aged 2-5, combining storytelling with sensory nature exploration.
- 10:00-11:00 am: Boodjar Biddi cultural walk, offering insights into Nyungar knowledge and connection to the environment.
- 10:30-11:30 am: Nature Storytime Trek Two, another session for young children aged 2-5.
- 12:00-1:00 pm: Guided Heritage Walk with local expert Greg Atwell, exploring community history.
- 1:30-2:30 pm: Wildlife Experience featuring native Australian animals, ideal for children aged 6-12 but open to all.
All activities require registration to ensure a spot.
Location and Access
The event takes place at Harmony Park, Harmony Oval, 60 Aurora Drive, Atwell WA 6164. The venue is equipped with accessible features including accessible toilets and voice-enabled maps with color choices for ease of navigation.
Facilities available on site include free parking, public toilets, a first-aid station, sunscreen and sanitizing stations, and water refill points. The event marquee is located near the Harvest Lakes Community Centre.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic or enjoy treats from the coffee van (8-10 am) and hot food van (10 am-1 pm) available on site.
Important Information
Please bring essentials such as a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, and comfortable walking shoes to fully enjoy the outdoor activities.
