Immerse yourself in a welcoming community of art enthusiasts at the Next Chapter Art Group. Each month, enjoy engaging talks and workshops led by talented artists and creatives, all while sipping tea or coffee in a relaxed setting. This series is perfect for parents looking to inspire their school-aged children or simply enjoy a creative outlet themselves.
The program covers a diverse range of artistic disciplines including watercolour painting, photography, graphic design, and portraiture. Expect to learn new skills, gain insights into different art forms, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, these sessions offer something for everyone interested in the creative process and artistic expression.
The group meets monthly on the first Thursday from 10:30 to 12:00, running from February 5 to December 3, 2026. Each session features a unique presentation or workshop:
- February: Watercolour paintings of Bavarian barns
- March: Canva graphic design tutorial
- April: Flora photography workshop
- May: Watercolour portrait painting
- June: Artistic insights from M.A. de Vere
- July: Creative approaches to ageing

Bookings are essential and must be made online. Library membership is required but free to join.
All sessions take place at the Margaret Martin Library, located on Level 1 of the Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, Belmore Road, Randwick. The venue is accessible and welcoming to all community members.
The library is committed to inclusion and accessibility; if you have any special requirements, contact the library to arrange support. Arriving 10 minutes early is recommended to ensure sessions start promptly.
This event series is free for library members, with bookings opening on January 8, 2026, at 9:30 AM. You only need to register once to attend all sessions throughout the year.
Participants missing three or more consecutive sessions without notice may lose their booking privileges. Covid-safe measures are in place and subject to change; attendees agree to comply with these for community safety.
Please note that sessions may be recorded for promotional purposes; notify staff if you prefer not to be included.
Attendance is free for Randwick City Library members. Membership is free and can be obtained online or at the library.
Bookings must be made online via Eventbrite, with a single registration covering all monthly sessions. Spaces are limited, so early booking is advised.
