What to Expect
This after-school Taekwondo program offers children aged 7 to 12 an action-packed 45-minute class filled with fun and learning. Led by motivated instructors, the classes blend discipline with encouragement, making it a safe and inclusive environment for all skill levels.
Children will enjoy belt progression, grading opportunities, and friendly competitions to keep them inspired and engaged throughout the term. The program focuses on developing fundamental Taekwondo techniques, self-defence skills, and important values such as respect and focus.
Expect your child to gain confidence, teamwork skills, and improved fitness through speed, flexibility, strength, and balance exercises.
Activity Details
Classes run every Tuesday from 3rd February to 24th March 2026, from 16:00 to 16:45. Each session costs $15, or you can pay $80 for the entire term.
The program welcomes beginners and experienced students alike, with no prior experience necessary. Children aged 7 to 10 years may have parents or guardians stay onsite within PHIVE and must be contactable during the session.
Please ensure your child brings a water bottle and wears comfortable activewear or a Taekwondo uniform.
Location and Access
The classes are held at Dharug Country, Maker Space, Level 3, PHIVE, located at 5 Parramatta Square, Parramatta 2150.
PHIVE is situated on the lands and waters of the Burramattagal of the Dharug nation, a significant place of ceremony, story, and tradition.
The venue is accessible and welcoming, providing a supportive environment for children to learn and grow.
Important Information
The program is designed specifically for children aged 7 to 12 years old. Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the program to start on time.
Parents and guardians of younger children (7 to 10 years) are encouraged to stay or sign in their children but must remain onsite and be reachable throughout the session.
Respect for the Dharug nation and acknowledgement of their traditional custodianship is an integral part of the program's ethos.
Booking and Prices
Booking is required with options to pay per session at $15 or for the full term at $80.
Spaces are limited to ensure quality instruction and safety, so early booking is recommended.
