Celebrate a beloved Australian children's show with a joyful premiere screening of two episodes from Play School's latest series, Party Animals. This event invites little party-goers to dress in their best party outfits and bring their favourite teddy bears or toys for a fun-filled celebration. Expect colourful decorations, fabulous costumes, and plenty of games to keep the kids entertained.
Party Animals features themed parties hosted by the presenters and toys, complete with handmade invitations and delicious party food. It's a creative and engaging experience designed especially for young children and their families.
The event runs for 60 minutes and includes a welcome and introduction, followed by the screening of two episodes. The schedule is:
- 11:30am: Welcome & introduction
- 11:45am: Episode 1
- 12:15pm: Episode 2
- 12:45pm: Event concludes
The screening is unclassified and suitable for all ages, making it perfect for families with school-aged children looking for a fun and interactive cultural outing.
The event takes place at ACMI Cinemas, located on Level 2 of ACMI at Federation Square, Naarm/Melbourne. ACMI is easily accessible by public transport and is situated in a vibrant cultural precinct with plenty of amenities nearby.
Families can enjoy the museum's daily opening hours from 10am to 5pm, with the ACMI Cafe + Bar and Shop also available during extended hours on weekends to complement the cinema experience.
This event is free for ACMI Members, who can book tickets starting Thursday 2 July, with a limit of 6 tickets per member. Non-members are encouraged to consider joining ACMI Membership for exclusive access to screenings, events, and discounts.
Party Animals will officially launch on ABC iview on Monday 13 July 2026, with new episodes airing daily on ABC Kids from 13 to 17 July. This premiere offers a unique opportunity to see the episodes first on the big screen.
Tickets for this event are free for ACMI Members. Members will receive an invitation to book tickets online. There is a limit of 6 tickets per member to ensure fair access.
Non-members can attend by becoming ACMI Members or by checking for any public ticket release closer to the event date. Early registration of interest is encouraged to secure a spot at this popular family event.
