Join your family for an exciting session at lab.LX where programmable robots come to life! This interactive workshop is designed to engage children aged 5 and above alongside their parents in a fun and educational coding experience.
Discover the joy of coding as you and your family work together to program robots to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. This hands-on activity encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity in a welcoming environment. Expect a lively hour filled with challenges that will captivate both kids and adults alike.
The session runs for one hour, including a 10-minute arrival and 10-minute pack-up time. Families will code their robots to compete and solve various challenges, making it a perfect introduction to programming concepts for young learners. Guardians must remain on-site during the program, ensuring a safe and supportive space for all participants.
The event takes place at Bonnyrigg Library, located at 100 Bonnyrigg Avenue, Bonnyrigg NSW 2177. The library is easily accessible and provides a comfortable setting for families to explore technology together. Parking and public transport options are available nearby.
Registration is required and limited to one booking per family per day. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian aged 16 or older. Please be mindful of the library’s child safety policies and respectful behavior expectations. Photography may occur during the event for promotional use; notify staff if you do not consent.
This workshop is free of charge. Bookings are managed via Eventbrite, and cancellations should be made promptly to allow others to attend. For questions or assistance, contact Fairfield City Open Libraries at (02) 9725 0333. Library membership is recommended and free to join online.
