Quiet Storytime offers a peaceful and welcoming environment designed especially for children with sensory sensitivities or additional needs. Each session features carefully selected stories, simple rhymes, and a gentle craft activity to engage young minds in a soothing way.
Families will have plenty of time to browse the library shelves quietly and get to know the library space with the help of a familiar librarian. This event is perfect for parents seeking a gentler pace for their children’s early literacy experiences.
Sessions are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 10:00 AM and last approximately 45 minutes. The event takes place while the library is closed to the general public, ensuring a quieter and less stimulating atmosphere.
Registration is required to manage numbers and maintain a comfortable setting. Please book for all attendees, including adults and babes in arms, and notify the organizers if you need to cancel.
The event is hosted at Lawson Library, located at 1 Loftus Street, Lawson. The venue is accessible and provides a safe, calm space for families to enjoy early literacy activities.
A familiar librarian will be present to assist families and carers throughout the session, making it easier for everyone to feel comfortable and supported.
