What to Expect
This engaging ceramics workshop is perfect for teenagers aged 12 to 17 who want to explore the art of wheel throwing. No prior experience is needed, making it ideal for beginners eager to try their hand at creating cups, bowls, and other vessels from clay.
Under the guidance of an experienced tutor, participants will receive step-by-step instructions to master the basics of wheel throwing and decorating their creations. Returning students are encouraged to challenge themselves with more complex techniques.
The small class size ensures personalized attention, fostering a supportive and creative environment where young artists can flourish.
Activity Details
The workshop runs over two half-day sessions on Tuesday 2026-07-07 and Monday 2026-07-13, each from 09:00 to 12:00. All materials are provided, so participants only need to bring themselves dressed in comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes.

Location and Access
The workshop is held at Pine Street Creative Arts Centre, located at 64 Pine Street, Chippendale NSW 2008. The ceramics studio is fully equipped and accessible.

Important Information
Bookings require payment in advance with full price at $90 and concession at $72. Creative Kids vouchers are not accepted. Cancellations are allowed up to 7 days before the course start date for a refund.
The maximum class size is 10 students to maintain a quality learning environment. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes for safety and ease of movement.
