What to Expect
This beginner-level workshop offers a fantastic opportunity for children aged 8 to 12 to dive into the world of coding in a fun and creative way. Kids will learn fundamental coding skills with a focus on making expressive, artistic creations rather than functional programs. The session is designed to ignite their imagination and build confidence in technology.
Under the guidance of experienced facilitator Jared Berghold, participants will explore how to use code to generate unique printable artwork. Each child will have access to high-powered laptops and all necessary materials, ensuring a hands-on and engaging experience.
By the end of the workshop, children will take home a postcard-sized print of their very own computer-generated artwork, making this a memorable and rewarding activity.
