Get ready for an exciting Mario Kart Party designed especially for kids aged 7 to 17. This event offers a perfect blend of competitive racing in the Mario Kart 8 video game, creative Mario-themed crafts, and a lively atmosphere where children can cheer on their friends. It’s a fantastic way for kids to have fun, socialize, and enjoy their school holidays.
The party includes a pizza lunch served around noon, ensuring everyone stays energized for the activities. Parents can relax knowing their children are engaged in a safe, supervised environment at the community centre.
Whether your child is a Mario Kart pro or a creative craft enthusiast, this event promises a memorable day filled with laughter and excitement.
The event runs on April 13, 2026, from 11:00 to 14:00. Tickets are required for each participating child, and accompanying adults must remain in the community centre during the event.
The program rotates between intense Mario Kart racing sessions and hands-on craft activities, giving children a balanced experience of gaming and creativity. Pizza is provided around 12:00 noon to keep the energy levels high.
Please note that spots often fill quickly, so early booking is recommended. If your child cannot attend, calling the centre to release the spot for waitlisted participants is appreciated.
The party takes place at The Summit Community Centre, located at 4 Crescent Drive, Norton Summit SA 5136. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. There are two carparks available: an upper carpark and a smaller lower carpark with one disabled parking space.
Additional parking can be found along Crescent Drive near Norton Summit Primary School and behind the Norton Summit CFS. Please exercise caution when crossing roads to the community centre.
The centre is fully accessible, featuring disabled parking, an access ramp, disabled toilets, and facilities suitable for families, including baby change tables and a kitchen area.
The Summit Community Centre operates Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 15:00 and is closed on Fridays and public holidays. In case of Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the centre will close and all programs will be cancelled without notice. Paid fees will be reimbursed or the event rescheduled.
Participants should dress appropriately for the weather, especially in cooler months, and bring a torch or phone light if attending evening events. The centre is inclusive and welcoming to all, including LGBTQI+ families and those needing breastfeeding facilities.
For any enquiries, contact the centre during opening hours via phone or email.
Tickets must be booked online for each child attending. The event is designed to accommodate a limited number of participants, so early booking is essential to secure a place.
If unable to attend, please notify the centre by phone to free up your spot for others on the waitlist. The event cost details are not explicitly stated but can be confirmed by contacting the centre.
Payment policies include reimbursements or rescheduling in case of cancellations due to fire danger ratings, ensuring peace of mind for parents.
