What to Expect
This engaging ceramics workshop invites teenagers to dive into the world of clay, experimenting with wheel throwing, handbuilding, sculptural forms, and surface decoration. Caitlyn King, the experienced instructor, provides demonstrations and one-on-one guidance, encouraging students to develop their own creative projects at their own pace.
The relaxed and supportive atmosphere makes it perfect for teens to express their artistic ideas while learning valuable pottery skills. Whether your teen is a beginner or has some experience, this workshop offers a chance to explore and grow.
Activity Details
The workshop runs from 9:30am to 12:30pm on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. Students will have the opportunity to work with various clay techniques and receive personalized support from Caitlyn throughout the session.
Please ensure your teen brings a water bottle, hat, snacks, lunch, and a jacket if staying for the full day. Students must remain on-site during breaks to maintain a safe environment.
There is an optional $8 fee for glazing and firing the finished works, helping reduce unclaimed pieces and supporting sustainable art practices.

The event takes place at Waverley Woollahra Art School, located at 138 Bondi Rd, Bondi NSW 2026. This accessible location is well-known for its creative arts programs and welcoming environment.

Important Information
Students are required to stay on-site during lunch and morning tea breaks to ensure safety and supervision.
All pottery must be collected within four weeks after the workshop to allow space for new work and maintain an organized studio. Uncollected pieces may be repurposed or disposed of.
The school is not responsible for loss or breakage of artwork, so please plan accordingly.

The cost for this workshop is $80 per child, with an additional $8 if you choose to have your teen's work glazed and fired.
