Unleash your teen's creativity by giving a plain piece of clothing a brand new personality. This workshop invites students to bring an item of clothing and transform it into a unique piece reflecting their own artistic style. With a variety of materials like embroidery threads, fabric for applique, and beads, teens will explore how placement, proportion, and colour can create different artistic outcomes.
Students are encouraged to bring ideas for motifs, either sketched or found online, to inspire their designs. This hands-on session is perfect for teens who love art and fashion, offering a fun and engaging way to express themselves.
The workshop runs for three hours, from 13:15 to 16:15, on Thursday 16 July 2026. All equipment and decorative materials are provided, so students only need to bring their chosen clothing item. There will be a supervised afternoon tea break held outdoors in the beautiful garden, weather permitting.
Please ensure your teen brings a water bottle, snack, and a jacket for comfort. If your teen is attending independently, a waiver must be completed to allow them to leave at the end of the class. Students are required to stay on-site during breaks for supervision and safety.
The workshop is held at Waverley Woollahra Art School, located at 138 Bondi Rd, Bondi NSW 2026, Australia. The venue is easily accessible and offers a welcoming environment surrounded by a lovely garden where breaks are enjoyed.
Parents can feel confident that their teens are in a safe, creative space designed to inspire and nurture artistic skills. Directions and further details can be found on the school's website or by contacting them directly.
This workshop is designed specifically for teens and focuses on creative clothing customisation. Students must bring their own plain clothing item to transform. All other materials are supplied.
Supervised breaks ensure a safe and structured environment throughout the session. Please provide your teen with appropriate clothing for the weather, a water bottle, and snacks.
Independent attendees require a signed waiver for leaving the premises at the end of the workshop. This ensures clear communication and safety for all participants.
The cost for this creative workshop is $80 per child. Booking in advance is essential to secure a spot as places are limited.
Payment details and ticket purchases can be made through the Waverley Woollahra Art School website or by contacting the school directly via phone. This is a fantastic opportunity to keep teens engaged and inspired during school holidays.
