Step outside and join other parents, carers, and guardians for a refreshing weekly walk designed to offer a supportive space to connect and unwind. Whether you come solo, with your baby, or in the midst of daily chaos, these walks provide a welcoming environment for real conversations and genuine connections.
Enjoy the simple pleasure of walking while sharing stories, laughter, and support with others who understand the joys and challenges of parenting. This is a chance to feel less alone and more connected in your community.
The walks are gentle and inclusive, perfect for all fitness levels and stroller-friendly, making it easy for parents with young children to participate.
These weekly walks take place every Monday morning, starting at 9:30 AM and concluding at 11:30 AM. The group meets at the Golden Child Cafe, located at 1-3 Bardolph Street, Glen Iris VIC 3146.
Walks are informal and community-run, focusing on fostering friendships and support networks among parents and carers. Monthly catch-ups provide an opportunity for deeper socializing beyond the walks.
No registration is required, and participants are encouraged to come as they are, embracing the beautiful messiness of parenthood.
The meeting point is the cozy Golden Child Cafe in Glen Iris, a convenient and accessible spot for locals. The cafe provides a comfortable space to gather before and after walks.
Public transport options and parking are available nearby, making it easy to join whether you drive or use public transit.
The route is stroller-friendly and suitable for all ages, ensuring everyone can participate comfortably.
This is a community-run event and is not organised or endorsed by the City of Boroondara Council. Participants attend at their own discretion.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Bringing water and sun protection is recommended.
The event is designed to be inclusive and supportive, welcoming all parents, carers, and guardians regardless of background or experience.
The walks are completely free to attend, with no booking required. Just turn up ready to walk and chat!
While the event is free, participants may choose to purchase refreshments at the Golden Child Cafe before or after the walk.
