What to Expect
Discover the newest exhibition, Treasures of the Viking Age – The Galloway Hoard, and engage with interactive artmaking and experiments in the Kids on Deck maker space. Join the collaborative Mysteries of Midgard Mosaic Mural, a large-scale LEGO® brick build, or explore the Cabinet of Curiosities with touchable objects and specimens. Climb aboard the museum’s historic vessels and enjoy sketching activities alongside soothing deep-sea ROV footage screenings.
Activity Details
The program runs daily from 10:00 to 17:00 during the school holidays, suitable for children aged 4 to 14 and adults. Special workshops include the Amulets and Adornments metalwork and jewellery workshop for ages 12–16 on 9 July. Additional activities include the Mini Mariners program for under 5s, underwater drone demonstrations, and NAIDOC Week celebrations with cultural performances and artmaking on 5 July.

Located on Gadigal land at 2 Murray Street, Darling Harbour, Sydney NSW 2000, the museum is wheelchair accessible and family-friendly. Visitors can easily reach the venue by public transport or car, with clear signage and helpful staff on site.

Entry to the museum and most activities is included with paid admission. The Amulets and Adornments workshop costs $110 general, $95 for members, and $100 early bird.
