Celebrate the vital role of native bees in our ecosystem with a hands-on workshop designed for all ages. Discover fascinating facts about over 1500 species of Australian native bees, many of which are solitary and essential pollinators.
Learn about the plants native bees prefer and how to create welcoming habitats in your own garden or play space. This engaging session offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and support sustainable food systems.
During this free workshop, Holly’s Backyard Bees will guide participants through the identification of local native bees and their habitats. You will then build your own insect hotel using provided materials, with the option to add natural items from your garden such as sticks, bamboo, or seedpods.
