Dive into the exciting world of industrial design with this engaging 3-day workshop tailored for teenagers in Years 9 to 12. Participants will explore the foundations of industrial design through hands-on activities that encourage creative problem-solving and iterative design.
Learners will develop original object concepts by sketching and refining their ideas, gaining insight into how industrial designers communicate purpose, usability, and meaning. This workshop culminates in presenting an original object design from concept to prototype.

The workshop runs daily from Monday 6 July to Wednesday 8 July, from 10:00 to 14:00. It is designed specifically for learners aged 14 to 18 years (Years 9–12).
Led by Powerhouse Residents RK Collective and Ben McCarthy, the sessions focus on sketching, iterative design processes, and creating visual prototypes. Participants will also learn presentation skills to showcase their original designs.
The cost to attend is $20 for the full 3-day experience, making it an affordable and enriching school holiday activity.
The workshop takes place at UTS Building 5A, located at 1 Quay St, Haymarket NSW 2000, Australia. This central location is easily accessible by public transport and offers a creative studio environment perfect for hands-on learning.
